Festival of Pain
This celebration of healing was presented by the Brasil Brasil Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
Hosted by Russell Glasgow, the panel discussion included (left to right) art therapist Dr. Esther Dreifuss-Kattan, featured artist Georgia Huston, and Dr. Lonnie Zeltzer, director of the UCLA Pediatric Pain Program and Whole Child LA.
The Ballet Folklorico do Brasil performed a healing dance that drew cheers from the audience.
And the focus of the evening was the Art Therapy work produced by Georgia Huston during her period of chronic pain. Her therapist, Dr. Dreifuss-Kattan discussed the assignments and their interpretations as they related to Georgia's healing process.
